Another Good Day!!

IT was another good day for Quinn at school! After his Dad talked to the administrator about his concerns with Quinn being bored in the classroom he was in they agreed to try him out today for at least the morning session in the "Preppers" classroom. It was an immediate success!! Quinn didn't cry when we dropped him off (like usual) but instead joined right in with what the class was doing. And at lunch time rather than send him back to the younger class as they had anticipated, they instead moved all his belongs to the new classroom. YEAH!! When i went to pick him up Quinn was leading the class down the hallway back to the classroom from the activities center. He wanted NO PART of coming home! The instructor said he did so well in his first day that there was no reason to send him back to his old class. While I'm excited for Quinn I feel a little sorry for the kids that Quinn skipped over who should have gone into that class before him. But it's great to see him excited about going to daycare again. It's funny, in his old class when they didn't keep him stimulated and learning he would head straight for the classroom door, turn the knob, and down the hall he would take off!! He even had a couple of accomplices who would wait for Quinn to open the door and then the other two would take of with him. The faculty was calling them the "getaway gang". As for Gavin, he's still growing like mad. he's sitting in highchairs at daycare, squirming like crazy like he wants to start crawling, and chewing like there's no tomorrow. He's even started to get the hang of the bouncie seat.

He can't get enough of his big bro, that's for sure!!

Just Chillin'

As most of you are experiencing cold weather we here in AZ are experiencing our own little cold snap as well. Sunday night it got down to 19 degrees and it has been in the low 30's every morning we've left the house for work. Mike and Quinn decided they weren't up to braving the temps this morning so the 2 of them worked and played from home. Unfortunately, Gavin and I weren't as lucky as we had to make the trek north to work in the city. Gavin's cough has seemed to reappear although were hoping it doesn't escalate to the point it did a couple of weeks ago. Please keep Quinn in your prayers as he continues to "fight the good fight" to beat potty training, I'm sure it's as stressful on him as it is on all us. We've got our flights to come home in March so keep your calendars open. See you soon!

P.S. we took your advise Robin and downloaded the Randy Newman, (You got a friend in me) Toy story song. but as you can see from the pictures it is much easier to deal with on the IPOD rather than burning it to a CD that we all have to deal with!!

Potty Training

Quinn is learning to potty train he lasted all day today at day care no accidents, we get home and he had two accidents in 30 minutes, Mike and I almost had a nervous breakdown. The first accident Quinn had he was sitting on the counter top, lovely!!! The second sitting in his chair at dinner. Two wonderful places! I wish there was an easy way to get through this! Gavin was at day care today when we went to pick the boys up he was sitting in the highchair by himself not even propped up. I almost did not recognize him, sitting up like a big boy.

Happy New Year

We have been very busy lately, it seems like we have a hard time keeping up lately with Quinn tryig to get potty trained and Gavin growing like a weed. I took Gavin to the Doctor for his 4 month check up he now weighs 16.2 pounds and is 26 inches long! I think he is huge, compared to the way Quinn was! We had a wonderful Christmas and New Years! Quinn's favorite Christmas toys seems to be his new found friends Woody and Buzz! He has been sleeping with them at night! He has also found a new interest in listening to the radio, Mike made a CD with songs on it and put the song Accidental in Love, not sure if that is the title, but we get in the car and the first thing Quinn wants is to listen to Shrek over and over and over again you can imagine a 45 minute drive to work in the morning listen to the same song over and over again! Gavin is really starting to reach for things and interact, the doctor said to actually start giving him a sippy cup! Well see how that works out.
