More Christmas Day!

Gavin enjoyed playing with all the toys once they were open he didn't really care much to open much! Quinn got a Spider Man suit case, he was pretty excited about that!

Christmas Day!

Quinn woke up this morning and went downstairs. We asked him do you think Santa came and as we are going down the stairs he walks right past the tree and all the presents to the front door. Mike and I did not understand where he was going. He started off with his stocking that had candy, his favorite being M&M's and Starburst, Candy Canes and A Spider Man toothbrush!





Gavin opened his first gift after about 20 minutes of just taking it all in! He got a vacuum! Wow, he was excited, for some reason he loves to help me vacuum. More pictures to come.

X-Mas Eve

Quinn and Gavin had loads of fun today. We went to the park and Gavin had a blast just rolling around in the grass while Quinn hit as many baseballs that Daddy would pitch him. After dinner Quinn and Gavin went outside to sprinkle the raindeer food that Grandma Mary sent them to feed Santa's reindeer. Quinn decided that the lit ornament reindeer needed some food too so he put some food in the palm of his hand and acted as though they were eating the food out of it. It was very cute. Well we can now add the phrase "that's awesome" to Quinns ever expanding vocabulary as well as "I'm proud of you". Tonight at dinner Quinn leaned over and put his head on his Dad's shoulder and said, "I'm proud of you Daddy". It's never a dull moment with the Quinster Finster around!!

"SANTA'S COMING"

Quinn and Gavin have really enjoyed the weeks leading up to X-Mas. Being so far away gifts find their way to our doorstep so when we pull into the driveway in the evening Quinn goes Bizerk when he sees a package (s) at the door. And while Quinn is in full gift opening mode, Gavin would rather just sit on the packages and play with the discarded paper his brother has just tore through. Quinns new tag phrase is "that's my favorite". with each item he opens it becomes his new favorite thing. He's especially fond of the #7 Clausen jersey that aunt hilary sent him. he'd wear it every day to school if we'd let him. pretty soon he'll have one for every day of the week with the #3 he already had, and the #83 from Doug and Robyn, and now the #7 from aunt hilary. add that to the urlacher jersey and the cubs jersey and he's a walking billboard for the local sports store. 3 days until x-mas and we got our first frost of the year! our blood must be definitely thinning because there was no way we were going anywhere when we say frost on the windshield. Heck, we don't own a scrapper any more to clean it off! but by 2:00 it was back up to 65 so we braved the conditions and ran some errands :)

Flying Kites & Touching Turkeys

I bought a kite for Quinn along time ago, last weekend it was actually windy enough to fly it he thought it was pretty cool. The other picture is of Quinn wanting to touch the Turkey on Thanksgiving, who knows why but he asked to touch it!

Gavin's First Fight with the Table

SO Monday we dropped the boys off at school, I get a call about an hour later, that Gavin fell into the table and has a black eye. Well as you can see, he lost! The poor child has a completely swollen eye and looks very painful, however it doesn't seem to bother him. He seems to be doing fine now. Good thing we already got the Christmas pictures!

It has been a while

Uncle Rudy was here this past week visiting, Quinn and Uncle Rudy had lots of fun,one day they went to Walmart and bought a baseball back stop, a metal baseball bat, spider man and many other exciting this. Uncle Rudy took Quinn the next day to see the BEE Movie which unlce RUdy said the whole time Quinn was asking him when it was going to be done! I think it might be a whilt before Uncle Rudy decides to have kids, I think he got his fill for awhile, He couldn't understand why Quinn would not take a nap!!! And was wakingup each day at 7am! Anyways we went to see Zoo Lights, which is pretty fun to do, the Zoo here is all lite up with Christmas Lights, etc.. Animals. Now we are getting ready for Santa to come. Quinn keeps telling us the only thing he wants for christmas is M&M's. Shouldn't be hard to please him! We went to get the boys Christmas pictures taken it actually turned out ok this year! The cards are on their way! Quinn is really excited Mimi and Papa Joe are coming at the end of the month, he can't wait he keeps telling us in 3 weeks! It really likes when people come, I think he gets sick of his mom and dad all the time!
