Quinn had his first hockey scrimmage on Sunday. He did great. His coach had him playing center (i now know that means he is the guy at the center of the ice for his team, when the coach drops the puck for the face off). They play about 7 minutes on the ice then a 2-3 minute break for about 45 minutes. Quinn lead all scorers with 5 goals (had two more shots on goal but his coach flipped the puck away so he wouldn't score any more). Needless to say he was very excited when he got off the ice! The night before his scrimmage we went to Open Skate at the rink and Quinn took to the ice with his mom and Drew. Quinn got a kick out of flying up from behind his mom and pushing her leg in an attempt to startle her. Drew did a great job for his first time skating. He used the "pusher" for the first 2 times around the ice and then decided to "brave it" on the ice. The boys had fun this past weekend with Mimi, Papa Joe, Drew, and Jacob in town to visit.
